Information for abstract submission

All abstracts must be submitted via the Submission Form:

Submission deadline is May 3, 2010
Abstract submission will be acknowledged via return e-mail.

Abstracts review

The Organizing Committee together with the Session Chairs will then review the received abstracts for inclusion in the scientific program in one of the following formats:

  • Oral communication
    A number of abstracts related to one of the topics of the conference will be selected for oral communication.
    Applicants for the BBA Young Speaker Award must not be older than 35 years.
  • Poster presentation
    Poster presentation will take place next to the lecture hall. Posters will be displayed throughout the meeting, with ample opportunity for presentation and discussion.
    Poster boards suitable for pins will be available. Maximal width of poster 90 cm, height 150 cm.

  • Communication with authors

    The organizing committee will communicate to the authors via e-mail by May 24, 2010, whether their abstract will be an oral or poster presentation.

    All abstracts will be published in a supplement issue of Chemistry and Physics of Lipids (Elsevier Publishing Company).

    Instructions for the preparation of abstracts

    1. Abstracts must be written in English and should include background, hypothesis / objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
    2. The original abstract will be printed exactly as provided. Its content is the responsibility of the author. Please ensure accuracy prior to submission.
    3. Abstracts should include a title (bold), authors names and affiliation (main author underlined) and the body of the text (250 words maximum).
    4. Abstracts should be single spaced. Font size should be no smaller than 11 point. Abstracts must be submitted as a Microsoft Word Document (.doc) or a Rich Text Format Document (.rtf).
    5. All abbreviations must be defined in the body of the abstract.
    6. Please submit abstracts via our abstract submission form.
